The school pictured above in the 1920's was located about where Main Street Market is now, but perilously closer to the Linden Creek, which appears to be at flood stage. After the L'Anse High School was built this was called "The Old Gym," and a painting of it now hangs in the L'Anse Area Schools Public Library.
