
Next stop Chicago!
Sentinel history page reader Ellsworth Rehn sent along this photo of the train that he, his brother, Rudy, and their mother rode to Chicago back in 1928. “Rudy never had a problem getting a job,” Rehn wrote, “even in the height of the depression. And then he sent for us. “ Rehn recalled that the locomotive had three driving wheels, and wrote he’d like to find out which trains were running in the UP at the time.
