Wooden plaques announcing a school zone (Pelkie) and speed limit were signs of the times back in the 1930’s or so when these photos were snapped in Baraga County. The sign photos are part of a collection lent to the Sentinel history page by reader Bonnie Michels. These pictures appeared in the Sentinel on May 14, 2003.
