The changing room that was located on Keweenaw Bay below Curwood Park is nicely preserved in this photo owned by Bonnie Michels. The beach around and below the changing room was popular with swimmers back when, even if the water was usually brisk! The building is long gone, and swimmers nowadays prefer to take to the lake at Second Sand Beach, or by L’Anse’s Waterfront Park. This picture appeared in the Sentinel on April 23, 2003.
