The Cardinals basketball team shown above in 1933 or 1934 was a force in its day according to Mabel Foy of L’Anse, who was married to LaMar Robillard, shown at far left. The team was coached by Arthur Solberg, right, who owned the Buckhorn Bar and could afford uniforms for the players who competed, and won, all over the UP.
