BUSINESS DIRECTORY-$3.70 per inch. These ads are composed of a seven and a half-pica column, the only columns in the newspaper such as this. Business Directory ads are sold for a minimum of three months.
AGATE RATE-Ads composed with microscopic six to seven point type, which are extremely costly to produce, are sold at a flat rate of $12.65-an-inch rate.
CLASSIFIED-$5.80 for the first 15 words and 17c per word over 15 words.
THANK -YOU/MEMORIAM ADS-$6.00 for the first 3 lines and 45c per line after, based on 6 words per line
average. Minimum $6.70.
HAPPY ADS- Without picture: $5.10 for the first inch, $3.25 per inch thereafter; With picture: $9.75 for 1 1/2” ad, $12.10 for 2” ad, $3.85 per inch thereafter.
INSERTS - Sold on the basis of sliding page count formula based on broadsheets. Each broadsheet equals two tabloid pages and four signature (approximately 8 1/2 X 11) pages. Rate is: One broadsheet, 6c each inserts: two broadsheet, 6 1/2 c each; four broadsheets, 7 c each; six broadsheets 7 1/2 c each; eight broadsheets, 8 c each. Those accounts that regularly run all their inserts and /or ads with us qualify for a maximum flat rate of 6 1/2 c per insert as long as the inserts are not over eight broadsheets or the equivalent.
There are 129 inches on each page (6 columns by 21 1/2 inches). As in the past, all ads ordered 18 inches or more high will be composed and charged at 21 1/2 inches high.
